Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Iron Tide Command is a slower, thinkier strategy game about commanding a fleet across a stormy archipelago. You plan routes, manage supply lines, and position ships before battles resolve semi-automatically. The tension comes from committing to a plan and watching it survive contact with the enemy.
The interface took me a couple of sessions to internalize, but once it clicked I loved how much control it gave. Weather changes fleet speed, fog hides enemy movements, and a bad supply decision can cost you a whole campaign. It punishes carelessness and rewards patience.
It's not flashy, and the tutorial could be gentler. But for anyone who likes maps, arrows and hard choices, this is a quietly excellent time-sink.
What we liked
- Deep supply and positioning systems
- Weather that changes tactics
- Rewards long-term planning
