Building your first good party in Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga hands you a lot of characters early, and it's tempting to spread your resources across all of them. Don't. Pick a core of four and pour your upgrade materials into them, because a well-leveled small team crushes the story far better than a thin, wide roster.
Your anchor should be a reliable healer, and the game gives you a decent one within the first two chapters. Around that, build a mix of physical and elemental damage so you're never fully countered by an enemy's resistances.
The first real difficulty spike is the swamp boss, and the trick is elemental timing rather than brute stats. Save your burst abilities for when the boss lowers its guard after its big attack. I wiped three times before I stopped panicking and started reading the pattern.
Don't ignore the crafting bench either. A couple of cheap early accessories that boost resistance can trivialize fights that otherwise feel unfair. The game doesn't push you toward it, so it's easy to miss.
